Welcome to Nate's Village

We made this site to keep all of us who love Nate up to date on his condition. There are so many people who care so deeply about him, and he's said he's humbled by the outpouring of support. We appreciate all of you, but it is difficult to keep everyone informed about his progress at all times. This site aims to be a solution to that problem. Hopefully this becomes a way for us all to stay connected in these trying times. We'll be posting regular updates on his treatment, his condition, and his life in general. Check "Nate's Story" for how we got here, and "Updates" for everything that has happened since then. If you feel so inclined, you can donate to his GoFundMe here . Thank you all for loving our dad almost as much as we love him. -Jazz and MacKenzie Sharon and I always referred to it as the daily divot; scraps, cuts, casts, antibiotics, emergency rooms. This was different, this affected my ability to communicate. It is improving since surgery, b...

September 23rd, 2022: Dads Voice

Dad has actually had the time to write down and write his own piece. "The girls have been much busier than I have, so it makes sense, and about time, I submitted an update. I’ve just been riding the Chemo train,5 days on, 24 off,  so it’s been pretty repetitive. No complaints. The doctors at Dana have done a very good job managing the side effects, so there are not any real problems. Even the physical effects I have are much less than disruptive. Fatigue is the biggest issue and I have no idea how to complain about taking a nap periodically. The other issues are so minor, I don’t even think they can be mentioned. The biggest help to all this is activity. Working around the house is the most common activity. Not what I'd like to spend the most time on but it does help time go by. Sharon, my Dad, and Sarah make time to get me out for a hike in the woods. This is what I like spending the most time doing. The vision makes the path choice important. I can do just about any pathe in...

July 25th.

July         July 4th, 2022 Sharon, Nate, Kenzie, Rich and Raylee made their way an hour and a half north to The Casoli Compound. It was a day of food, Family, fireworks and fun. Something we all needed a little bit of. We arrived early and we helped get everything set up for the firework show. Rich, Mikey and Wes all set up the fireworks on the trailer for the display later that night. As people started to trickle in we all met under the tents to have a huge feast fit for 100 people. As the day went on Raylee and Donnas dog, Jack, became inseparable. Nate milled about most of the day talking to various friends and family. As it got later and the food was all put away we all met around a beautiful fire to watch the fireworks. Sharon had quite a bit of fun with some sparklers. Finally it was time for the night to end, we all parted ways and went to bed. The next morning Sharon and Donna made us all a delicious and huge breakfast. Joh...

July 1st 2022

Well hello to my favorite readers, I know its been quite a while since a post has been made, life had been a little busy. I (Kenzie) got married June 12th, Jazzy and Clark did make it up for that wonderful day. May 30th Sharon and Nate made their way into Boston for a day of tests and images following the end of Nates radiation and chemo therapy. We finally got some good news! The day of the tests Sharon and Nate said they absolutely didn't want to see the scans, a few days later they ended up changing their minds and they messaged the doctors asking to see the scans. We found out that the tumor had shrank by a good amount. The treatment plan then changed. Nate went through 5 days of a doubled dose of the chemo therapy. It was hard, this round had more side effects than the last. Nate went through a lot of fatigue, memory issues and a good amount of swelling that proved more complicated than we thought. After the five days of chemo therapy Nate ended up in the hospital after 3 days...
